Accessibility statement
This statement applies to severnclinicalcaninemassage.co.uk. We want everyone to be able to read about your dog's care and get in touch, whatever device or assistive technology you use.
Conformance
This website conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
That claim rests on the pre-launch audit of 25 August 2026 — automated scans (Lighthouse, axe-core) across every page, a computed contrast check of every piece of rendered text, and the manual checks described below. Nine issues were found during the audit and all nine were fixed before this statement was published. The audit's screen-reader walkthroughs (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on iOS) are the final items of that record and complete before launch; if they surface anything, it will be listed under known limitations with a fix date.
Known limitations
None. No WCAG 2.2 AA success criterion is currently known to be unmet. This heading stays here deliberately — if a limitation is ever identified, it will be listed with the reason and the date we intend to fix it, rather than quietly ignored.
How we check
Conformance is verified before launch, on any significant change to the site, and at least once a year. The check combines automated tooling with manual testing, because automated tools alone cover only around a third of the WCAG success criteria.
Automated checks use Lighthouse for broad heuristics, axe DevTools and WAVE for rule-based scanning of every distinct page, and the WebAIM Contrast Checker for colour combinations the scanners don't reach.
Manual checks cover the things tools cannot judge: keyboard-only navigation of every page; screen reader testing on desktop and mobile; reflow at a 320px viewport; 400% browser zoom on a 1280px-wide window; the WCAG text-spacing override; reduced-motion preferences; deliberately invalid form input, to confirm errors are announced and focus moves to the first invalid field; and confirmation that the contact form's spam-trap field is unreachable by keyboard and by screen reader.
Each audit produces a dated record naming the auditor, the tools and versions used, the pages tested, the browser and assistive-technology combinations, and the findings.
Browsers and assistive technology we test with
- Current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
- NVDA with Firefox on Windows.
- VoiceOver with Safari on iOS.

Enforcement
This is a private-sector website, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to it. The Equality Act 2010 does, and with it a duty to make reasonable adjustments — which is the standard we hold ourselves to. If you are not happy with how we respond to an accessibility problem, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
