Terms and cancellation policy
These are the terms on which Joanne Rawlings, trading as Severn Clinical Canine Massage Therapy, provides clinical canine massage. They're written to be short and plain — if anything here is unclear, just ask before you book.
Booking and veterinary consent
Your dog can only be treated with your vet's signed consent, in line with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2015. The consent form can be downloaded from this site — take it to your vet to complete, then email it over or bring it to the first appointment. Treatment can't go ahead without it.
Please also allow at least two weeks after any vaccination or spot-on flea treatment before a session, and mention either when you book. After surgery or injury, treatment is always timed around your vet's advice.
Prices and payment
Current prices are listed in the services section: an initial consultation is £50.00 and a follow-up treatment is £45.00, the same whether we meet at the clinic in Malvern Hills Veterinary Practice or at your home. A £5.00 travel fee applies to visits more than 10 miles from Upton upon Severn (WR8 0PQ).
Payment is by bank transfer or cash, taken at the session.
Cancellations and missed appointments
- Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel.
- A late cancellation — less than 24 hours before the appointment — or a missed appointment is charged at 50% of the session fee.
- There are no fixed rescheduling rules: if you need to move an appointment, get in touch and we'll rearrange by agreement.
Dogs aren't always predictable — if something genuinely out of your control comes up, tell Jo as soon as you can and she'll be as flexible as she's able.
If treatment isn't helping
This is a results-driven practice, aiming for improvement within one to three sessions. If there's no improvement after the third session, treatment won't simply continue: your dog is referred back to your vet for further exploration, with a written report of anything identified.
Your dog's information
Treatment relies on an accurate picture of your dog's health. Please share anything relevant when you book and keep Jo informed of any changes — new medication, a diagnosis, an injury — between sessions, as declared on the consent form. How personal data is handled is covered by the privacy notice.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the “last updated” date above will change with them. The terms in force when you book are the ones that apply to that booking.
